Gunther Douglas? healthcare client is seeking an Medical Coder for a 6-9 month contract-to-hire opportunity in Denver, CO. Background check and up-to-date vaccinations are required prior to start date.
 
***Candidate will be able to work remotely after the first 90 days on assignment.***
 
Required Skills:
-2+ years of Facility and Professional Coding experience.
-Inpatient DRG experience.
-Siemens, Invision, Signature, Code Ryte software experience.
-E&M experience.
-Radiology, pathology, cardiology, surgical, or spine experience.
-Responsible for the correct assignment of ICD-9-CM, CPT-4 and HCPCS codes.
-Experience with electronic and handwritten medical record documentation.
-Knowledge of professional fee coding, regulatory guidelines, and compliance.
-Must be able to read, interpret and communicate new coding guidelines as they occur to peers and supervisors.
-Good computer keyboarding skills, knowledge of coding encoder and data abstracting software.
-Know Microsoft Outlook and Office and how to use the email and calendar functions as well as basic Word and Excel functions.
-Certification by the American Health Information Management.
-Graduation from high school or possession of a GED certificate.
